Theatre is Very Much Alive and Well
Since the establishment of the first professional playhouse west of the Mississippi in 1852, Salt Lake has been a theatre and performing arts mecca. Today the city boasts several professional theatre companies including Pioneer Theatre Company at the University of Utah, Salt Lake Acting Company downtown, The Grand Theatre on the Salt Lake Community College campus, as well as other small professional theatres located throughout the valley. |
