Ice Skating

Wintertime can really turn the outdoors into one giant playground, Snow Buddies, especially if you spend a day ice skating with all your friends! When it stays extra cold for a long time, natural bodies of water—like ponds and lakes—can form a really thick layer of ice. If that icy layer stays solid, it can create a nature-made ice skating rink! And when you’re in a city like downtown Salt Lake, you can find man-made rinks like the one at the Gallivan Center. While it may feel like you’re on brand new legs at first, with a bit of practice, you can learn to twirl, glide, jump, and even skate backward! Snowball is, surprisingly, light on his feet and loves to take a spin around the rink. Can you spot him or his little kitty skates?
