Global Biorisk Advisory Council

Under the guidance of GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, The Grand America Hotel, and its sister property, Little America Hotel – Salt Lake have implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention in its facilities. This accreditation is another step to build traveler confidence and ensure safety for team members and the community.

"GBAC STAR is the gold standard of safe facilities, providing third-party validation that ensures facilities implement strict protocols for biorisk situations. Accreditation empowers facility owners and managers to assure workers, customers, and key stakeholders that they have proven systems in place to deliver clean and healthy environments that are safe for business."

Patricia Olinger, Executive Director, Global Biorisk Advisory Council

Safe in Salt Lake

“We’re thrilled to see The Grand America Hotel and Little America Hotel invest and take the necessary steps to become GBAC-accredited hotels. This is a key step in our goal to ensure Salt Lake County is the safest place in the nation to visit and conduct business,” said Kaitlin Eskelson, President & CEO, Visit Salt Lake. “I hope many of our other hotel and business partners follow The Grand America’s lead in earning this accreditation, a critical component in our community’s economic recovery.”

The Salt Palace Convention Center and Mountain America Exposition Center are also GBAC STAR™ facility accredited.
